**Appointments during the pandemic**

We have had to adapt how we care for our patients as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The information below describes how we have historically undertaken patient reviews but clearly we are unable to provide such care safely for patients or staff.

As such we are doing most of our consultations via telephone. This still might result in a face to face review, if felt necessary by the GP. Face to face reviews are being done with either the nurse or GP wearing full PPE. You will be instructed how to attend for your face to face appointment when this is initially discussed over the phone.

Patients should be aware that you can still speak with your chemist for minor ailments and also the opticians for any eye issues you may have.

Consultations are by appointment and can be made by calling 01698 748421 during opening hours.

We offer appointments from 09:00 every morning. We also off extended hours appointments. These are available on a Monday and Tuesday evening, allowing patients to be seen up to 18:30. There is also a session on a Tuesday morning from 07:30

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please give us as as much notice as possible (preferably 24 hours) in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Telephone appointments

We offer regular telephone appointments with the doctors. These are useful when an examination is unnecessary but you wish to have discussion about your health. Telephone appointments can be requested in the usual way
