Announcements
We are saddened to announce that our Diabetic Nurse, Dorothy Hose, passed away suddenly last week. She was new to the practice but had become immediately popular with both the patients and the staff at Mossend Surgery
Our thoughts and best wishes are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
We hope to have your patience and understanding while we adjust scheduled appointments

Eye and Dental issues
We would like to remind patients that for all acute eye and dental issues your local optician and dentist are open and able to assess you if you have concerns in either of these areas.
Acutely painful, red eyes or visual change can be dealt with by opticians and they have an emergency service for such complaints. Any dental issue should be directed towards your dentist or, if you do not have one, the dental hospital via 111.
CERVICAL SCREENING
A smear test could save your life!
Going for screening each time you are invited is the best thing you can do to prevent cervical cancer
It is offered routinely, every 5 years, to anyone with a cervix between the ages of 25 and 64
It aims to identify whether you are at higher risk of developing cervical cell changes or cervical cancer. This means you will get the care and treatment you need early
